I create plays featuring costumes and puppets that demonstrate archetypal systems (stories) of death and renewal. These performance activated objects “self motivate” in that their materiality and design provide the primary script for performances and often override conventional narrative. My work is meta-satire in that I parody familiar stories but do so with the intention of creating a true body double.
