Brian Getnick (born 1976 New York, lives and works in Los Angeles) is a performance artist who creates elaborate sculptural costumes that, through their materiality, provide the primary text for actions. His Performances are often a black comedy of the body’s failings which he views as a form of resistance towards the interpretive energies of the crowd. Currently he directs "The Ballet" a performance troupe comprised of hand made actors and is codirector with Noe Kidder of the forthcoming movie "Holy Blood".
